Why Choose Globe-Tek Over Your Current DM Provider?
Manage Your Treatment and Compliance
GT Waste Sterilizers are controlled and monitored by an on-board Programmable Logic Computer (PLC). The PLC utilizes color display. System parameters such as: temperature; pressure; time set points; safety indicators; remote reporting; and diagnostics are continually monitored and are available as external signals through the on-board modem. Any malfunction is indicated on the operator screen and further by an audible and visible alarms. The sterilization process is documented and all process data is stored in the on-board computer module. The data can be recalled or printed at any time.
The temperature, pressure, and exposure time are all adjustable and preset per local regulations.
During the sterilization process, the waste is continually tumbled and conveyed by the action of the treatment screw ensuring that all of the waste is fully exposed to the saturated steam and heat of the process.
Peace of Mind
Upon power failure or other non-compliance with the set point parameters, the GT Waste Sterilizer automatically shuts off such that no “untreated“ waste can be released to the environment. When the system is then re-started, the unit automatically re-sets to the programmed parameters in a controlled fashion to provide safe treatment of the waste.
Safety of Your People
The process technology of the GT Waste Sterilizer is designed that in the event of any routine maintenance or repair work, the entire “impure“ areas of the GT Waste Sterilizer are subjected to an automatic, thermal disinfection process prior to any exposure to maintenance personnel.
During the loading process, the entire feed system is held continually under negative air pressure by the built in air filtration system. The air is processed through a state of the art three stage air filtration system including: activated charcoal; aluminum oxide ceramics; and HEPA.
Effectiveness
No shredding of the waste occurs until the lid to the feed hopper is shut. Once the lid is shut, the material is fed onto the heavy duty shredder. The size reduction opens most small hollow voids and spaces ensuring adequate steam exposure during the sterilization process. Waste with ill-fitting geometry such as syringes, cannulas, tubing, cutlery, etc., are reduced to a mean edge length of approximately 20 x 30 mm. The shredder reduces the waste volume by up to 80%.
